BH Cosmetics Shaaanxo Eyeshadow & Lipstick Palette | Swatches & First Impressions

Hey everyone!
Hope you’re all enjoying your bank holiday weekend 🙂
Today’s post will be about this pretty little palette…
First of all, a big congratulations to Shannon for coming out with this palette in collaboration with BH Cosmetics. I have been watching Shannon on her Youtube for a few years now and I have even had the chance to meet her when she came over to London for the Contiki event and she’s really nice and friendly in person. So it was a pleasure getting this palette to support!
This palette consists of 2 sides. One with 9 eyeshadow colours and the other side with 9 lipstick shades.
I love the sizes of the pans. You get such a good amount of product for each shade. It’s really nice how both sides have a mirror which is ideal for travelling.
Both the eyeshadows and lipsticks can go well together. The selection of eyeshadows allows you to create a natural eye look and pair it up with a more bolder lip from the lipstick palette. You can also do a nice smokey eye and select one of the more natural lipstick shades to go with it.
Swatch time!
Both swatches are from left to right of the palettes
I have used the eyeshadow side of the palette twice already and I’m liking it. The colours are pigmented and easy to blend. You have your highlight shade for under the brow bone, you also have a nice shimmery shade for inner corner highlights and a various selection of browns and coppers. It’s also good that there is a very dark shade to help in creating a nice bold smokey eye if you wish 🙂
The lipstick shades are really pigmented when swatched on the arm. Some shades do not come out true to the colour that you see on the pan, especially the last two shades. Nevertheless, it’s still pretty and wearable colours.
In terms of packaging, I love the pink bubble effect with the silver writing of Shaaanxo and the BH Cosmetics logo. It really gives a cute, yet sophisticated look at the same time. Having a double sided make up product is definitely something unique and not something that you come across that often these days. With that in mind, it does save a lot of space. I mean, imagine how big this product would be if the eyeshadows and lipsticks were on the same side…
The aim of this might have been the fact that it’s good for travelling and just saves you the time in thinking of which lipstick shade to use when you can just turn it over and quickly select a shade of lipstick. Although, come to think of it, Shannon LOVES her lipstick, so I don’t blame her for wanted a bunch of lovely shades in her collaboration for this palette.
Overall, this is a very good palette. I would definitely be using the eyeshadows more often. Reason being, I usually carry small hand bags, so this palette won’t really fit in them so it will be hard for me to top up my lipstick later on throughout the day.
I bought this palette for $14.50 from the BH Cosmetics website. This comes up to around £9.90. Which is SUCH a good price and value for money. However, the shipping price is quite steep as it’s coming from America. But it had to be done! 🙂
Have you got your hands on this pretty piece yet?
If so, what are your thoughts? Which shades are your favourite?
