I have been on the look out for a nice glitter palette that is actually decent, so when I came across this glitter palette by Celfie Cosmetics at Beautycon last year in December – I was instantly intrigued! It didn’t take long for me to go ahead and purchase it right then and there.
On first impressions, I was attracted to how vibrant and colourful the shades are in this palette. The ladies at the Celfie Cosmetics booth at Beautycon were really nice and let us swatch the shades before buying. They swatched really well and therefore went on to purchase this for only £12 at their booth! Yes, that’s right – bargain price! I was really shocked at this price and how affordable it was. How could I say no?
The packaging is nothing special, it’s simply a cardboard material with no mirror. On the back of the palette only has the list of ingredients and weight of product. The proof is in the pudding, so even though the packaging is not spectacular, the product itself is pretty decent and bursts with colour. See the swatches below of the colours.
The colours are so pretty and pigmented – full of colour and that’s what I like! The lady at the Celfie Cosmetics booth did mention that these glitters work better when you apply it on top of an eyeshadow. I used my finger to apply one of the shades to my lids and they work really well! I love the fact that they don’t need any glitter adhesive to stick to. No mess, no fuss application and I love that! All you need to do, is grab some product and apply to your lids on top of eyeshadow and blend it in. I prefer to use my fingers as it grabs more product this way for me.
I know there are probably a lot of glitter eye shadow palettes out there but with glitters I prefer to swatch them in real life before purchasing, so I hope this helps in some way.
Celfie Cosmetics is based in Kenya, Africa. All their stores are located there. So if you would like to purchase their products, you can via their website and can ship to the UK. On their website, this palette costs $39.99 = £28.63. So I was able to get it for more than half it’s original selling price. I’m assuming this was because it was at Beautycon and it was an event special or something.
I’m pretty happy with this purchase and would recommend this palette. However, because of the £29 price tag, you might be able to find another glitter palette for a cheaper price. I was lucky to get this for £12 at Beautycon, but it’s not this cheap on their website. So may be do your research first if you are deciding on which glitter palette to go for. I would always look up swatches online before purchasing something if I am unsure about it.
